30 meter rising cross in Swedens' centre

After 25 years of effort, it is finally time. The July 2 opening ceremony took place at Svartberget in Hassela for the 30-meter-high cross that marks the beginning of a world-famous pilgrimage to chapel, theater, marketplace and more. The cross is the strongest and most important of all Christian symbols, and now it is represented in Sweden's geographical center.

The cross stands for the things of life, love and the community. Both religious and church history is the cross of faith, hope and love eternal character.

St. Staffan's Chapel wants to be a rallying point for all - a road sign on the road to the community, security, freedom, joy and love.
